Haven't heard this song in AGES - but a few weeks ago it started buzzing through my head and I haven't been able to get it out. Now that I've been humming it a few days and have added it to my itunes and as a ring tone to my phone - it might just stay in my head even longer. LOL

Does it bring back any memories for you? Or maybe you've got a special golden oldie you've been humming lately?

Ok, but is HE litter trained? LOL

I just had to share. I know I should be writing, and I'm headed there as soon as I make a quick blog post - but this was just too funny to not pass on.

Jennifer sounds like a romance heroine somebody needs to write a story about. :-)

I'm thinking I'd take the cat, because the husband obviously has issues. What about you?

I had the online pitch with Silhouette Special Edition editor, Susan Litman, yesterday in the chat rooms at eHarlequin and it was AMAZING! It went very well with minimum shaky fingers. :-) After a few questions about my characters and their conflict, she requested a full. Sooo... what am I doing here, right? lol I'm playing with my blog layout again of course. One of the finer ways of procrastination.

Now I have two stories that I need to be getting out the door and as good as I am at decisions, I'm actually doodling a bit with both. I'd really like to get the revision request story out first. I'm nearly finished with it, so I think it's the best way to go. Then I can totally focus on the story that was requested yesterday and hopefully have it out as well within the next few weeks.

The blog layout is new again as well. I think I like it. I like the feel of the countryside, but not sure about the seasonal feeling it has. I'll probably keep trying a few different things until I find something that I really like - or until I just get too busy to mess with it anymore.

Off to maybe do something productive with my writing. Say hi if you stop by!

It is with great pleasure to tell you that you have been selected as a winner in our Silhouette Special Edition Pitch Challenge.

Those were the first words in an email I received yesterday and I was/am very excited to read them.

I don't know if I'd shared that I had entered the pitch contest, but it was something I'd done a few weeks ago, hoping at the chance to pitch to Silhouette Special Editions editor, Susan Litman. I'd pitched to her a couple of years ago (egads, has it been THAT long?) in Dallas, but at that time, I was really confused about whether I should be targeting Special Edition or Superromance. I'm definitely pointed in the Special Edition direction now - as most of my current projects are just a little too 'category' for Superromance at this time. Along the road of writing though, I think it's really hard to know for sure what might happen down the road. I just need a direction to head in at least and I'm happy to have it.

So now I need to get heavy into finishing the revisions for SSE on my first book as well as getting the book that I'll be pitching ready just in case. From the few other online pitches I've done, it seems usually a partial is requested, so I need to get that as polished as possible. Of course, beings I'll have the full there hopefully by then, or close to it - I'm not sure if they'll want more or not. I guess we'll see?

Back to writing I guess - kicks in the butt welcomed. :-)
